Need to use buildPackages.stdenv.cc.isGNU to avoid infinite recursion.
We probably need a better way to handle this.

This adds a symlink for compatibility with those distros.

Matthew Bauer b86e62d30d llvm: support cross compilation with useLLVM flag
You can build (partially) with LLVM toolchain using the useLLVM flag.
This works like so:

  nix-build -A hello --arg crossSystem '{ system =
    "aarch64-unknown-linux-musl"; useLLVM = true }'

also don’t separate debug info in lldClang

It doesn’t work currently with that setup hook. Missing build-id?

LLVM should be target independent because it will work with all

target to build ahead of time.

Jörg ThalheimandJohn Ericson c8ff4a92f7 treewide: use runtimeShell instead of stdenv.shell whenever possible
Whenever we create scripts that are installed to $out, we must use runtimeShell
in order to get the shell that can be executed on the machine we create the
package for. This is relevant for cross-compiling. The only use case for
stdenv.shell are scripts that are executed as part of the build system.
Usages in checkPhase are borderline however to decrease the likelyhood
of people copying the wrong examples, I decided to use runtimeShell as well.
