881c79b65d README.md: use SVG for nixos-white, as done with nixos 
Currently, `nixos-white.png` is used, while the colored variant has already been switched to SVG. This commit updates the white logo to use the SVG version for consistency.

e21379218c README.md: fix NixOS logo 
(default and light theme)

https://nixos.org/logo/nixos-hires.png gives a "Not found" error
and https://nixos.org itself uses an (inline) SVG,
so let's go for the default logo SVG from nixos-artwork.

714dc5445d README: Updated dead link for nix channel manual (#379247) 
* README: Updated dead link for nix channel

The old link from the manual lead to a dead page.

The new link leads to the nix-channel command on the manual.
However it would also be reasonable for it to lead to the wiki[1] entry on nix channels, or on the channels section of the FAQ[2], however the ladder option already leads to the nix-channel command manual entry "for more information".

4c55d256cd README: use relative links to CONTRIBUTING.md 
There’s two different ways of viewing rendered versions of the Markdown
files in this repo. You can either

1. view them on GitHub or
2. clone the repo and open them using a program like Okular [1].

Before this change, option 2 was a little bit inconvenient. When you
clicked on either of the links to CONTRIBUTING.md, it would take you to
GitHub instead of opening up the Markdown file locally.

We found that many users found it difficult to locate this document.

f2a4f72ba3 README: point to Matrix
